ASIAM: Building a Stronger Community in Applied and Industrial Mathematics

Introduction

The Applied and Industrial Mathematics Association (ASIAM) was founded in late 2023 with a clear mission:

• to promote the development, application, and dissemination of mathematics in solving real-world problems across science, engineering, and industry.

Our journey began with the shared conviction that mathematics is not only a tool for theory but also a driver of innovation, technology, and sustainable development.

A Community for Collaboration

ASIAM brings together researchers, educators, and professionals working in applied and industrial mathematics.

Through conferences, workshops, publications, and academic exchange, the Society aims to strengthen collaboration between:

• Universities and research centers,
• Industry and technological sectors,
• Researchers, Students and early-career researchers seeking mentorship.

Our First Activities

In 2024, ASIAM co-organized three conferences

• The 4th International Workshop on Mathematical Modeling and Renewable Energies, Annaba, 4-6 Nov 2024.
• Nov 19, 2024. Mathematics and Remote Sensing (Collaboration with ASAL and NHSM)
• 3rd National Conference On Mathematics, Biology and Medicine, December 17, 2024, M’sila.
